COMENIUS PROJECT “PORT CITIES AS PLACES OF MUTUAL ENCOUNTER”

PRIMER ENCUENTRO EN ADANA (TURQUÍA)  DEL 7 AL 11 de OCTUBRE DE 2011

FIRST MEETING IN ADANA (TURKEY) FROM 7th TO 11th  OF OCTOBER 2011


El I.E.S. Mediterráneo participa en un Proyecto Comenius multilateral que se prolongará a lo largo de dos cursos académicos: 2011-2013 denominado “Ciudades Portuarias Como Punto de Encuentro” en el que participan además de nuestra ciudad,. Cartagena (España), el centro Käthe-Kollwitz Gymnasium de la ciudad de Whilhenshaven (Alemania) coordinadora del Proyecto , el centro Gdánskie Autonomiczne Gimnazjum de Gdansk (Polonia) y el centro Adana Ticaret Odasi Anadolu Lisesi de Adana (Turquía).
Los objetivos del proyecto se centran en que a través de diversas actividades los alumnos de las ciudades participantes aprendan y compartan conocimientos sobre sus puertos y los elementos económicos, sociales, culturales, históricos, etc… que los caracterizan, mejorando el conocimiento mutuo y fortaleciendo los lazos de cooperación y amistad entre ellos.
El primer encuentro tuvo lugar en Adana entre el 7 y el 11 de octubre de 2011 y por nuestro instituto participaron doña Joaquina Pérez Pagán, doña Leticia Soledad Jiménez y don José Roca Martínez.
En las reuniones de trabajo se trato:
-          La baja del instituto de Varna (Bulgaria) en el proyecto.
-          La elaboración de una página Web o Blog para compartir información, experiencias, actividades y opiniones entre los centros participantes.
-          El concurso para la elaboración del logo del proyecto.
-          La puesta en marcha de un programa de intercambio de alumnos de nuestros centros en los diferentes encuentros.
-          La elaboración de un cuestionario para los alumnos con el objetivo de conocer mejor los puertos y sus actividades de cada ciudad participante.
-          Por último se estableció el calendario para los distintos encuentros, siendo el siguiente en Alemania del 24 al 28 de Febrero de 2012.

También se realizó una visita a las instalaciones portuarias de Adana y a algunos lugares de distinto interés cultural comos Tarso y la Capadocia donde se vivieron momentos de gran concordia, camaradería, amistad e intercambio de experiencias entre los profesores participantes.

The IES Mediterráneo takes part in a multilateral Comenius project which will run over two academic years 2011-2013 called “Port Cities as places of mutual encounter”.
The other three schools that also participate in the project are: the Käthe-Kollwitz Gymnasium of the city of Whilhenshaven (Germany) -coordinator of the project-,the Gdanskie Autonomiczne Gimnazjum of Gdansk (Poland) and the Adana Ticaret Odasi Anadolu Lisesi of Adana (Turkey).
The objectives of the project focus on the mutual knowledge of the history, economy, culture, and society of the participant cities and their harbours. This aim will be achieved through the participation of the students in different activities. In this way they will improve mutual understanding and they will strengthen ties of cooperation and friendship among them.
The first meeting took place in Adana from 7 to 11 October 2011. The Spanish teachers who attendeg it were Mrs. Joaquina Pérez Pagán, Ms. Leticia Jiménez Ayala and Mr. José Roca Martínez.
The most important points treated in the meeting were:
-         The fact that the Bulgarian school which helped to develop the application does not take part in the project due to insufficient funds.
-         The development of a web page or a Blog to share information, experiences, activities and opinions between the participating centers.
-         The contest for the creation of the project Logo.
-         The launching of a program of exchange of students in the various meetings.
-         Students must elaborate a questionnaire to explore the port cities. In the survey especially social and economic aspects should be considered.
-         Finally the timetable for the various meetings was settled, being the next one in Germany from the 24th to 28th of February 2012.
During this first meeting there was also time to pay a visit to the city of Adana and its port facilities, and other cultural sites such as Tarsus and the area of Cappadocia.
It is worthwhile to mention the exchange of experiences between teachers from different European countries and the hospitality and kindness of the Turkish team.
